Practice Info
Practice: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9:00-11:00
Recommended Practice Times by Age Group
- 11 & Up l 10-11:00
- 8 & Under l 9:00-10:00
- 9 &10s l 9:00-9:30 and 10:30-11:00 (and/or before swim team practice)
These times are just recommended based on swim practice times. If you are dive team only, feel free to come at anytime that works with your schedule.
Practices times are designated to help cater to certain ages at certain times. Thus, these are the best times for each age to attend. If you would like additional practice and want to come a little earlier/stay a little later, that is totally fine too. But coaches will be focusing on skills for the specified ages during the specified times.
Practice will include:
Dryland – basics done on the ground to ensure the diver has a strong understanding of a skill before preforming it on the side of pool or board
Pool Side – The side of the pool will be used for new dives and basics. This allows the divers to get increased number of dives.
Board Work – this will include hurdle work, basics, and dives needed for the diver’s age group. Divers will only be passed to harder dives when they can safely do the basic dive and are ready for a new challenge.

- Scorers will be chosen by the coaches. We will take into consideration: what dives they can safely execute, total DD, practice attendance, meet attendance.
Volunteers
Each diving parent must volunteer at minimum of 3 dual meets. These are very easy jobs which we will teach each volunteer.
Jobs:
- Table
- Announcer
- Writing Scores
- Adding dive total
- Keeping Running score total
- Judge
- 3 Judges
Rules
- 2 Males and 2 Females
- Any diver who competes in B Finals may not compete in A Finals unless they are an alternate and are needed to compete
Volunteers
Every diver competing at Championships must have an adult volunteer for their event – jobs will be assigned jobs at the start of competition. Anderson Hills Swim & Tennis is hosting B finals. All diving parents will need to help minimum of 2 sessions. If you can help more that would be great! We will need as many parents as possible to ensure the meet runs smoothly. Helping during the dual meets will help with this process.
