The Anderson Hills Gators

Welcome Back Gators! It is time to register for the 2026 Summer Swim & Dive Seasons!

Swimming and Diving at our Club this summer is a great way to meet new friends and add a little structure and exercise to your summer routine. Our Gator Team competes for about six weeks beginning in early June and ending with Championship meets in mid-July, with an end of year party following to celebrate the season. Your kids will be learning swimming/diving skills, while getting or keeping them in shape, and the commitment level is what you and your family choose!

TEAM FEES: There is a lot our fees have to cover during our summer swim/dive season including–practices offered 5 days a week for swim and 3 days a week for dive, coaching costs, PPSL league and meet involvement, equipment (we are in the process of ordering new lane lines), team shirt, and our set-up with Swimtopia (which replaces Team Unify).

Swimmers 12y & Under | $105

Swimmers 13y & older | $65

Divers | $105

Swim & Dive | $140

Mini-Gators | $70

MINI-GATORS: Mini-Gators will be offered again this year for swimmers who are 5 years of age (5yrs by June 1st unless otherwise approved by team management). If we have available spots as the season gets closer we may open this up to 4 yr olds who are comfortable in the water and ready for stroke instruction. Mini-gators is a pre-team program which is intended to introduce our youngest swimmers to our summer team. The purpose of Mini-Gators is to teach your child proper freestyle and backstroke with a start, and to build the strength and endurance to swim the length of the pool by the end of the short summer season. Mini-Gators who are ready can have the opportunity to swim one lap of freestyle in the last home meet. If your child is able and it is determined by the coach's assessment, they may be invited to swim in more meets as part of our 8 and under group.

Mini-Gators practices sessions will be determined season to season based on needs and staffing. Swimmers will be assigned to their group based on their skill level individually, and relative to other swimmers enrolled. Practices will be Monday-Thursday (4 days a week).  Coaches will use the first 5-10 minutes to get the kids warmed up and give some dryland instruction (maybe some running around down in the playground area to get warm on chilly days) and then they will spend roughly 25-30 minutes in the water. Each swimmer must be at least 5 years old (unless otherwise arranged and space allows) and must be able to swim two-thirds the length of the pool without walking on the bottom or grabbing the lane lines. Coaches will assess and group swimmers accordingly. The Mini-Gators will be limited to 20 swimmers. There will be 2 assessment days for Mini-Gators. You must attend one of these assessment days. If you are unable to attend please make arrangements for your child to be assessed by a coach at another time.

The Mini's season will end at the last home meet when they will have the opportunity to swim 1-lap freestyle.

MEETS: There are 5 dual meets this season and we finish with championships in July. Dive warm-ups begin around 3:00 with a 4:00 meet start. Swim warm-ups for dual meets generally begin around 6:00 for home meets (arrive 15-30 minutes early). The swim meet itself usually begins at 6:30pm and lasts until roughly 9:30 or 10 depending on the number of swimmers participating in the meet. This are just estimates to help you with planning.

Deadline for registering for meets will be Tuesdays at noon.

PARENT WORKER REQUIREMENTS: There are 5 dual meets and 2 Championship Meets each season (B Champs will now be called “Eastside Champs” and the A Champs will just be “Championships”). Meets are optional and you are able to sign up to swim/dive according to your family schedule. However, every family is required to work ONE HALF of each swim/dive meet in which you have a child swim/dive. As with any other sport or activity your child participates in, these meets CANNOT run without volunteers. All jobs are fairly easy (though some sound scary) and parents will be trained as necessary (more info to come at the Parent Meeting). Our swim management program, Swimtopia, will help make it easy to sign your kids up to swim and for you to sign-up to work.

IMPORTANT: Working either the swim or dive meet does not exempt you from working the other, if you have a child participate in both meets you will need to work at both meets.

For information regarding Volunteer Requirements and Code of Conduct, please see the Team Handbook tab.

For additional information regarding Dive, please see the Dive tab.

We are excited for the season--Go Gators!!
